Skills4Recovery Launches Project for Rapid Reskilling and Employment

The Skills4Recovery project “From Class to Work” has been launched in Ukraine. It offers new opportunities for quick requalification and upskilling for veterans, people with special needs, women, and other groups in key sectors vital for Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction. The training is tailored to employer needs and includes both classroom sessions and on-the-job training in partner companies.

Participants who complete the vocational course will be employed at the company where they intern, with a job guaranteed for at least six months.

Who can join?
● Employers with open vacancies and candidates for retraining in construction, transport, logistics, agriculture, and services.
● Candidates — including women, internally displaced persons, and veterans — seeking to learn a new profession and secure stable employment.
● VET providers with accreditation, ready to develop curricula aligned with labour market needs.

Background:
The project “From Class to Work: Workplace-Based Training for Women and Other Groups” is being implemented by the Business Development Fund within the Multi Donor Initiative Skills4Recovery. It combines theoretical modules at accredited VET providers with workplace-based practice at enterprises, with a focus on promoting women's access to traditionally “male” professions and supporting inclusive employment. In total, 2,000 people are expected to be trained.
