Live and work in Ukraine: Employment Service supports everyone

What does it take to make employment services truly inclusive? In a country where millions have been displaced, where veterans are returning to civilian life, and where women and older workers often face additional barriers — the answer matters more than ever.

Through the Inclusive Employment project, implemented by the East Europe Foundation under the Multi Donor Initiative Skills4Recovery, we are helping Ukraine's State Employment Service rise to that challenge.

18 employment centres across the country are being equipped with practical tools to better serve those who need it most:

  • A six-month coaching programme for 36 centre managers
  • An online inclusive recruitment course for career advisors
  • Job fairs and a partnership forum connecting employers with job seekers from vulnerable groups

The project also helps directly inform people about available opportunities. A series of social advertising spots featuring real beneficiaries and real stories is airing on national and regional television, reaching IDPs, veterans, women, and older people.

Background

The Inclusive Employment project is implemented by the East Europe Foundation with financial support from the European Union, Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Denmark under the Skills4Recovery Multi Donor Initiative, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).
